Mullen’s Offense, Derek Dooley’s Passing Tree & Aggie Offseason Titles

Derek Dooley

Tuesday’s Link Orgy is pretty good: Dan Mullen’s personnel groupings, Florida baseball will get better, a look at the highs and lows of Aggie football, Derek Dooley’s jumbo playbook and Arkansas women’s tennis. Let’s go!

An in-depth look at Dan Mullen’s personnel groupings – David Wunderlich has done an excellent job of breaking down the RB/TE combos of State under Mullen. Wunderlich believes that Florida will use a lot of 10 personnel due to a lack of tight end depth. Personally, I think you’ll see more 11 and 20 sets when Florida needs a yard or two.

Does Florida baseball have another gear? When they’ve been at their best, they’re crushing the ball, flying around on the base paths, and their staff is nearly unhittable. Kevin O’Sullivan is getting ready to flip that switch. Someone might catch UF on an off-night but I’d be pretty surprised if they’re not in the championship series again.

Behind the scenes at McKethan – Florida’s student newspaper does a great job covering Gator baseball. Here, writer Ethan Bauer looks at the life of a student manager.

The Aggies are very impressed with their 2nd-place standing in 24/7’s composite recruiting rankings. Someone get ready to unfurl the banner!

As you know, the Ags are always riding high after another amazing spring ball. Thankfully, they’ll be able to ride “Composite Recruiting Ranking Season” all the way through SEC Media Days.

This will be followed by Aggie Euphoria Season (August), Aggie CFP Contender Season (September), Aggie Decommit Season (October), and Aggie 4th Place in the West Season (November). Aggie 3rd Tier Bowl Season (December) can produce any number of scenarios including Aggie 5-Star QB Transfer Season. In the last 3 years, we’ve seen a lot during Aggie Losing To Middle of the Pack Teams Season.

Who’s catching Drew Lock’s passes in 2018? – No worries y’all. Derek Dooley is on it. Dooley’s extensive “passing tree” playbook (described as throwing shit against the wall and seeing what sticks) should really help Mizzou’s receivers be more confused, run more wrong routes, and give us hundreds more Derek Dooley faces.

More on Derek Dooley coming later in the week.

This bullshit story about Arkansas women’s tennis should get some national attention.

Arkansas made a “run” in the SEC Tournament and finished in the semifinals. WPS! But their final record of 10-16 prevents them from making it to the NCAA Tournament (all teams must be .500 or better).

Since they were already in Nashville for the SECs, Arky made some calls and convinced Tennessee State to play them until they reached .500. So the Arkansas schedule now looks like this:

Six matches in one day. The same “student athletes” running out there every 2.5 hours to play. All day.

How pathetic can you be? Arkansas played until they got to .500. Now, I hope the NCAA Committee sees their shameless attempt for what it is and passes them over.

He misses Gorilla Ball, Mike Shula, and his mullet. He asked his prom date out at Waffle House.
