Kam Martin, Jalen’s Troubles, Pruitt’s Pratfall & LSU Baseball Stinks

Where Kam Martin improved in spring ball

Auburn sweeps Alabama baseball by combined 44-10 score – Auburn has started to turn it around in SEC play and has won 5 of their last 6 in the league. The Tigers are now in a glut of 8 teams all vying for 2nd place in the conference.

Meanwhile, Alabama has fallen apart. The 19-5 and 20-5 losses this weekend to Auburn are pretty painful.

Six SEC teams in the top 10 of the Men’s Golf Rankings that came out over the weekend.

I’m told that LSU’s point total is mixed up and should be 340 and not 430.

Jeremy Pruitt has a burning … desire to be the best – Tennessee fans are all loving Pruitt’s tough talk right now. No matter what he says, they’ll love him for it. Until he struggles, that is. Once loses a game he shouldn’t, they’ll turn on him fast because he acted like an ass in these situations. Sit back and watch.

Tennessee is in last place in the SEC East but they found a little momentum. All they needed was a little home cooking and a visit from the Aggies to get right and win a series (just their 2nd in SEC play).

Jalen Hurts should avoid Twitter and other homes of criticism – I disagree. He can’t avoid it. He has to embrace it. Hell, from the sound of his dad’s quotes, he gets as bad or worse at home.

And not everyone on Twitter is crushing him.

Nick Saban has a get-back coach, 47 analysts, Butch the Intern, and a toothpick guy:

Missouri’s season hinges on Odom’s bet on Dooley – Translation: You’re fucked, Mizzou.

Three State players that made a move up in spring ball. And three that have more work to do.

LSU’s 0-4 week is the program’s bottom. Right? – All LSU had to do this week was win 1 game at South Carolina to find themselves at the top of the SEC West and tied for 2nd place in the conference. But they couldn’t hold a 6-0 lead Sunday and got swept right out of town. LSU has just 2 road wins this year – the lowest number in the league.

Doesn’t matter though: LSU is a gymnastics and beach volleyball school now. Football and baseball are yesterday’s news.

Safety Grant Delpit to undergo collarbone surgery Monday – Delpit should be ready to return to action by the time camp opens in August.

Ryan is a “since birth” fan of LSU and the SEC.

He misses Gorilla Ball, Mike Shula, and his mullet. He asked his prom date out at Waffle House.
